I became somewhat attached to saving all the vintage Seiko's I've found, just because they show up more often than some of the other vintage watches anymore. They're definitely gaining in popularity to collectors. I've got a few of the order Seiko's now that I've picked up at thrift stores. I'd happy getting that one for 12 bucks.
Over time I've been able to collect a few Seiko's around here. The last one I picked up was when I got that Benrus Citation electric at the same trift store where they had a pile of discarded wristwatches. It's a gold plated Seiko Lassale. Those have a higher quality jeweled quartz movement inside. In researching this particular watch I found out that it is a King Seiko. Apparently when they were exported out of Asia they did not include the KS like they do in Japan. The giveaway is the English French date wheel. Unfortunately I do not find many vintage Seiko’s in my area.
