That is one sweet button and will look great displayed!

Great button and nice bunch of lead!!! Congrats

Beautiful button! Yes, it will display very well. Do you have any idea of what regiment it came from?

No I don't right now, not sure how to find out.

WOW!! That looks like the variation GA 4 in Albert's book. The letter N is omitted in the word MODERATION. You can still read the word on the right column. Can you get a backmark?

And I thought my complete spencer was the find for today...I'd take that GA button any day. Great work!!

I can't make out the back mark, there is something there but I can't read it. What are the different back marks it could be maybe I can narrow it down.
Thanks for the info!

Were you lucky enough for the shank to be intact? Awesome button!

No the shank is missing and the back is pushed in some but the front appears to have the original shape.

Nice summer hunt with lead & the nice GA button Mark. WTG, Quindy.

Great button find.

Looks like a pretty good hunt this time of year and the GA button really topped it off.

It will be either "Steele & Johnson" or "Horstmann & Alien/ NY"
The Horstmann mark has an inner circle of rays.
