They look great :icon_thumleft:

Very clear, good size and definition! :icon_thumright:

are any of em silver Ivan?

My opinion: don't scan. Use a camera with flash, and a neutral background (not white). Not enough detail is visible with a scan.

good Roman coins

have no camera --do have a scanner so scans it is .

I agree. ;D

Try scanning with colored paper with the coins, blue, yellow, red, even black. Experiment, the white can be overpowering at times on coppers.

Very nice Ivan. What kind of printer is it? I got a HP C4640 in the spring and it will make exceptionally clear copies, scans and color photos, and it is very fast. But.....yes a but.....It goes through printer cartridges like crazy. They are the tiny little #60s and now I see why HP was pushing to get rid of them. I have spent 3 times over the cost of the printer just to keep it in cartridges and I don't really print all that much! Give us another rundown after a couple of months. Perhaps we should have a hardware evaluation section as we have everything else? Monty

very good idea :icon_thumleft:

its a hp F 2210 all in one model

while a camera might be better at least folks can see some of what i find without me having to bugg the wife to do a "scan for me"

at least you'll can see some of my finds stuff now -- no more "we want pictures --wheres the proof ? (at least for smaller items )

They look great Ivan! Now where did you get them?Did you buy them by the bag full?lol ;D

no these puppies are gotten about 4 at a time -- i get them at my coin dealers shop (no roman coins to find here in the usa --so gotta buy em )--but --i do get em in "uncleaned" state 4 for $10 the fun is in cleaning em up and seeing exactly coin what you got -- i have found several higher value coins (over $50 value ) -- however many are just everyday typecommons $6 to $20 value --best one so far was worth $95 from a recent e bay sale of a similar type / condition one.

was just using them to try out my scanner and let folks see some of my "collection" at the same time

I use a camera as well but I am not sure how much more detail you would get with a camera.

Looks good. I wish I could do that.. I probably could, but I don't know. Where did you find those? Very cool. Civil War Hunter over and out.

Hello Ivan!
Its collection of Roman coins is good and the coins are authentic, but they need cleaning (the lack of clarity in the details is Due to the coins are not cleaned properly) in oil Olive for a week and then clean up areas inlay with a punch (without scratching the coins too.)
Almost all are from the last centuries of the Roman Empire the emperors Constantine, Constantius and Valentinian,( 4 or 5 Century) for $ 20 / 50 can buy most ancient Roman coins and the collection will improve significantly.
Greetings!
