I got this the other day and am sure it is flint but I dont know what type. It came from Tn and I was hoping somebody could tell me the type of flint it is by correct title name. Thanks, rock

Greenstone? Really? Curious now, greenstone is a soft stone generally speaking.

I will put the pic up for you then. The materials in the lot were as follows: Quartz, GreenStone, and some Gray Slate.

Yeah I like both hobbies, I have always liked rocks since I was a child and just started on the artifacts in the last 5 yrs. I figure the best of both worlds. You really have to understand rocks as to the hardness and the texture to understand the artifact world they do go hand in hand IMO.
