HOw do I tell if it is loaded with 3.0 or 3.1 or3.2 etc? I would assume its the latest download. Maybe, maybe not.

When you first power it up should say version right below XP and next to where it says Deus

thanks for the help Weigund. Is there much difference with the differant versions?

You want 3.2--- best overall

Just go to xp's site to see the difference in versions vs your outdated it seems manual

This is my recommendation and you can do what you want but I would go into the Deus fast program, go to disc and take it down to 0 - 3,hit the lower left expert bitton and change the tones to full tones. Go down to reactivity and and hit the expert button and make sure the silencer reading is -1. Save it. Right next to it make the same program but in 4khz instead of 18khz and save it. Go hint and have fun. When you get a high tone number wise you can it the adjacent program in 4khz and if the tone drops and numbers drop, dig it. If it stays the same or goes higher usually trash, bottle caps etc. Stick with it and don't mess with the settings unless you want to change reactivity or frequecy.
