Got out this afternoon

Got a bunch of quarters and 2 old , look like silver, girls hair brooches. Also found odd coins for this area. Jugoslavia and Republic of China. Here's some pics

Looks like maybe some Navajo jewelry or something. Love those diverse finds like that and the foreign coins too.

I'm guessing the right one is black onyx and the star effect is from the camera flash?

Could be a flash effect, but the striated lines showing in the stone are very typical of star saphire. They are in fact what causes the star effect.
