Got invited to hunt an old fairgrounds with some friends and we had a great day, until the MUD run us out, in the morning when we got there the ground was some what froze, a little hard to dig but you could, by 1 in the afternoon the field was like thick soup, mud, mud and more mud, your feet weighted about 20 pounds each........we will return.
About 10 minutes into the hunt I got an 1902 Indian, about 20 minutes later I got a 1904 Indian, another half hour I got a nice dime signal and it was an 1882 Seated Liberty another hour I got a nice signal and about 7 inches deep out came an 1846 Large Cent I had a great day. Some of the other finds were a Barber Quarter, a Seated Liberty Quarter (which was on top of the ground, you could look down and see it) More Indians and early wheat cents. Hope everyone has a great new year and lots of Great finds.............Lee

That seated liberty is in really nice shape, WTG... I'd be back there rollin' in the mud like a pig to get some nice coins like that!

BRAVO! Some GREAT digs there! That Seated is quite nice, and I'd take a LC anyday, in any condition.

Cheers,

Wow, productive places like that are hard to come by anymore. There should be plenty more...Happy hunting....Steve

WTG. Great Finds. I would be doing the happy dance at any one of these coins, but you got four great coins. Congrats.

nice finds.. love the seated !!!!! very pretty.... ;D ;D ;D ;D

I can't believe a little mud would make you stop after finding such good "stuff". How do you like your F75 and how long have you been using it?

Les

That Seated is amazing! Just think what you'll find in ideal hunting weather. . . if there is such a thing ;D

Great finds! That Seated is a real beauty!

Diggerfororo...I started MDing in 1971 and have used a lot of detectors, So far The F75 is the one I like the best. I know there are a lot of Great Metal Detectors out there and I am not saying the F75 is better than the rest but for me I would not trade it for anything else, at least at this time. And believe me it was more than a little mud, it was all over me, all over my detector and it got real slick...We will go back.........Lee

SWEEEEET finds on an awesome site lee!! I dont think I would be able to sleep very well if i knew there was seated coins waiting on me!! Congrats and keep us posted on the next hunt!! 8) 8)

Awesome finds, that is an amazing site that you are hunting, I think you are in Mother Lode Territory. Continued Success and HH.

That's fantastic, Lee. :o :o

I'm hunting our old fairgrounds, too. All plowed fields....and I was wearing my 20 pound mud boots, too. I hope I have the success that you've had! 8)

Hey Lee, I have been using an old CZ6 for the last 15+ years and would hate to give it up. I have put in countless hours listening to all the different squeeks and chirps. I have been thinking of getting another machine and break it in slowly incase something would happen to my "6". I have heard some good things about the F75 and may get one. My only hope is to find a machine that would be as good as the one I have. My "6" has provided service above and beyond the call of duty.

Keep on diggin--

Les
