Got Seated Today - 4/1 (1883 Dime) plus 2 IH's, ring, mexican voter ID

Hi all,
Unfortunately the last file on my video card, me finding the seated, got corrupted, so no video today. However, I do have nice photos. And somewhere at a random point in this thread, I will tell you my trick to hunting this hunted out spot (Its more or less brutish)
Anyway, I went out 3/29 and I got really cold and only found a 1911 wheat. I didn't give up, buying something that would make the task more comfortable (that and warmer temps...)

Today I spent about 3 hours out. I got 2 Indian Heads, a 1882 and a 1893. Near the end, I got a solid 12-47 that ended up being a junky, but weighty, sterling ring. I was just about to leave when I got a not so good sounding 12-43. Recovery in this area was very difficult, so every trash item took a lot of time. But this last signal was not trash -- it ended up being an 1883 SEATED!!!

I also found a mexican voter ID. IT's funny, in Mexico, not only is it a photo - ID but also a Thumbprint ID --

I wonder if it is as much an injustice to minorities to require just a photo as some would claim. I know it hurts the dead and disney characters when they vote, but come on... But the real trick is that I hunted in a creek, up to 2.5 feet deep of water. It really helped having hip waiters -- I didn't have those the first two times. It also takes care not to get E trac control housing wet and also recovery of targets takes work.

absolutely, I've been waiting for windy city to get more AT pro's in. Check out aquachigger's videos you can just drop that unit in the water i don't want to chance my Etrac

A big congratulations on saving that seated from drowning!

WOW,great outing Jon :skullflag: I can't wait to get a sand scoop now.

Ah the wonders of "creekin" in there for goodies. Good haul Jon and I'll be breaking out the CZ20 pretty soon for the same thing. It's a lot easier when it's hip mounted and water proof.

Congrats on the Seated recovery, Jon. Way to go. I detected a creek near me, but it was a little to high to detect at the time. More pain in the neck than anything else trying to keep my balance.

Jon,
Sweetened finds.
We need to get out again soon.

The balance thing was harder when I was just wearing hiking boots. The waders I got have a very flexible rubber sole, so you feel every rock you are on.

Congrats! Great finds; I love to find the old stuff.
Will have to give you a shout out the next time I come down to see mom.
In Da Heights.

Awesome job bud, a few years ago I hunted a washout that led down to the river and found my 1st barber dime and a few wheaties further down the way.
