Had a bit of a miserable day at work but managed to cut out a bit early. Drove about half an hour away to a field I'd been eyeing for a few years now. I recently found out it was public land zoned as "public scenic overlook" so I went for it. Turned out to be a beautiful evening.

There are some colonial era homes on the street near it and I was pretty happy with what I got for a 2 hour hunt in tall grass. Managed to get a 1822 large cent and a nice range of buttons. Wish I had hit it a little sooner after the field was hayed but there is always next year!

Great hunt, that LC is particularly nice!

I know! I'm very excited to see what else will come out of there knowing that the soil is particularity kind to coppers!

Lots of potential there!
