Gotta unidentifiable thingamajig

My husband tilled up a new bed for tomatoes yesterday and dug this up. Anyone want to take a guess? Could be sumpin',could be nothin'. You see one end has a hollow space,the other end is exactly like that. Guessing at a size of five to six inches long
