Pretty disappointing show! GPAA needs to step it up if they ever expect to get more members!

GPAA Gold show Pamona this weekend who's going?

I was there for a bit. It was ok. I left thinking I should've just gone prospecting today. Picked up a few odds and ends.

I agree ! Should have went digging instead!

What was wrong with the show?

I don't think it was bad, per say. It was just the same as last year, but seemed like there were less vendors. I was unable to find a few things that I really wanted, which I saw last year and had been looking forward to for '16.

I spent about an hour there, for a new prospector I picked up a few things. I actually bought a stun gun instead of typical Prospector gear. Should have brought my Gold guzzler bottle, was more gold flakes in the gold panning pan of pay dirt than in the few bags of pay dirt I bought at the event lol.

Went to the pet show after since we were there.

The gold shows just are not what they used to be for multiple reasons;
*The struggles of the mom n' pop prospecting shops just trying to make a buck
*The GPAA increasing booth costs
*Less than terrific venue sites (especially the vegas show this year)
*Increased on-line sales etc.
Honestly, the main reason I go is to wander around among like minded people and perhaps see a few friends that I haven't seen in a while.
