Grand casino elvis presley gold coin

My grandmother passed away, and going through her things, my mother found a set of these grand casinos Elvis Presley gold coins. I know they aren't worth that much and are not trying to sell, was just wondering if anyone had any information on them like how she might have gotten them. I.e did she win them or bought. How many are in circulation.

They were sold singly, and in sets (4, 6 and 8). silver rounds, clad in 24k gold......... How are yours set? single in gem box, or, are they in the black velvet collector's box??

I have ten of these coins and was wondering about them too! Your information was extremely helpful. However, I was wondering if there was a list somewhere of all the Elvis/Grand Casino coins that were sold-either individually or in sets.
