granddaughter in my footsteps

Well, sort of. This is me and her a few days ago at her going away barbeque. Today is her second day at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center going through basic training at the same place I did. I'm proud of course and I expect her to do well. She had a job at Big 5 Sporting Goods but decided to serve her country and see the world at the same time. (btw.....I'm not that short, she's that tall )

Kudos to her for wanting to serve her country. Please extend my biggest thank you to her and all past, present, and future Service men and women. You and her parents must have done something right. May God Bless her and your family.

28 years ago, my son called me and said " I'm going to see Chigago." I told him he wouldn't like it. He says that it wasn't exactly the truth..he joined the Navy. I aks him if they were going to lay him off. He said No. That wasn't exaxtly the truth either. He retired 8 years ago as a Chief.
We are proud of all our service personel.
