Not that it matters but I wonder if the $750 was from the couple or the insurance company...assuming the ring was insured. Sometimes they will pay a 10% reward and if they had the replacement value at $7,500 that would be it.

I love hearing stories like this...more good press for an awesome hobby.

I would be curious as to what else he found while he was looking for the lost ring. Perhaps the $750. was only a bonus...
