Congrats on a nice hunt! That is the first Al's Goldfish lure I've seen here on tnet. It became one of the most popular lures in New England when it was introduced in the 1950's. That size is the original 1/4 oz size, made in the company owner's garage factory in New Bedford. I have some new in the package from the 1970's before the owner passed away. He eventually added a 3/16 oz size. Because it is such a regional piece and probably unfamiliar to many, here is a link to the company history:

Its now owned by a young couple in Maine and they have added many modern touches. I tossed and turned many nights when I considered buying the business about 25 or so years ago. But the kids were in school and the timing was not right at the time. It remains my favorite fishing lure and I have caught many species in freshwater and salt with it. At one time, it was the single most popular lure among the few of us who fished for sea-run white perch in tributaries of Buzzards Bay MA. Sadly, that population of massive white perch has gone extinct. Sorry about going on so much about it. Thanks for posting pics.

You are correct on the Russian call. That’s 2 “kopek” from the rule of Alexander II. Pretty common coin to find in Russian farm fields but a wonder of how it got out here great haul!
