great day with son

i have been waiting all week for this day
my oldest son said he would go detecting with me
this would be only the 3rd or 4th time he ever went
his best find so far was a 1853 half dime that was in great shape and the only half dime in the family so far
well anyway we hit the field for about 2 hours and he had only found a 1931 penny and a 3 ringer
me a 1911 and a old buckle nothing special
he decided to call it a day about 10:30 and headed to the car
i told him i was gonna swing back to the car and we would leave
glad i did this is only the second gold ring i have ever dug one last year and now this one
so the time with my son and gold all in one day who could ask for more
hoping he gets the bug and goes out more then one time a year

Nice ring and it sounded like a nice day with your son.

My daughter is 7 with no interest in detecting...the son is only 14 months so I have a little time before he can swing. I think he maybe my last hope for a permanent hunting partner unless his sister comes around...lol.

The Gold ring is beautiful and its definately got some age. But the memories are for a lifetime. You can also stage a gold or 2 to get him interested
