My first really GOOD find!! In one hole I found 5 loose nickels (2)1908, (1)1909 and (2)1911. About 2 feet away I got another hit. I dug that spot and around 5" deep I pulled this old tea cup or something up that had coins in it! After the pictures, I removed the coins. There were 7 more nickels! The oldest one being the nicest....an 1883. I also found (2) 1869 Indian Head Pennies in the same field. The picture is of the nicer one of the two.

Excellent - how cool is that!!! Might be a small one, but imho it qualifies as a "cache."

Good job

I guess you want to bet him 5 nickels, right?

Thats so cool, I think I would put the coins back in the tea cup and display it like that ;D

That's reall a great first find! That cup, or whatever, was the real "jewel" of the day!

Wow, does that Indian Head have a date of 1869? Those are fairly rare. It is listed on PCGS.com as 75 dollars in "good" condition. And I would say that it is in Good condition and has the "Brown" color needed
