I found this MD'ing 2 days ago at an old Navy Shipyard for the Great Lakes

Ok I got pics of the rest of the stuff I found, from what I can tell most of these look hand forged and very old. I think I finally found the site the Navy used to build ships for the Great Lakes in the 1800's...


there's everything, and you can see the IH in the top left.


Here's a bolt I found, to me it looks hand forged. correct me if I'm wrong.

Very nice Great Lakes finds.

I buy this stuff when I'm sure in came from the GL areas.

I have in my office a coat rack made from the wood of the Steamer Myron. The pegs are ship spikes from the Myron.

Back years ago before all the laws divers could remove this stuff from the Great Lakes. Get caught doing it today and they'll cut your guts out with a rock.

But, this doesn't apply to your finds. Good job and that stuff is worth $$$.

thats not fair at all- i find a 1995 penny at it is unrecognisable, but your 1865 is in perfect condition!
Dang the Luck.....
but hey congrads on an exellent find
