so i go to a local bank (not the one i normally get boxes). they can only give me 1 box of pennies but they said they might be able to get 2 a week for me

since i went there with $100, i also asked if i could get 7 rolls of quarters (i was mainly looking for good condition ones for an album i plan to get)

7 rolls of quarters yielded 1 1942!
i feel that i got extremely lucky today

what is your guys' average for quarters per box?

I have searched $390 and a $980 bag with no silver quarters.

I have found 3 silver quarters in the last month and a half and I have searched 7 boxes to find them. I guess that makes my average 1 per 2.33 boxes. Good job on the find.

I was picking up multiple 1K bags each week for about 3 months last year.

Usually averaged about 1 silver in every 4-5 bags searched. Always kept hoping for that one collection dump but it never happened. It was a lot of wasted time, effort and gas.

I bought $900 in CWRs from a single bank last year & got a '44. Mission accomplished - i don't search them anymore.
