Greenup, Kentucky 39 gold nuggets found in cave

According to F.L. Coffman's "1001 Lost, Buried or Sunken Treasures", c. 1957, p. 179: "2. Three Greenup, Kentucky, businessmen found 39 gold nuggets in an old cave near Greenup a few years ago that were worth $3,500."

No. The geology of KY isn't characteristic of gold producing areas. These nuggets had to have been hidden.

On the far East part of KY. where it comes from the old Trays River, had gold in it. The only river that ran backwards, I think it came from Ohio, and now it has changed and the Ohio River ran over it. If you can find where the Ohio didn't go over the Trays, there is gold down deep. Look it up, the Trays River.

nice. I know where gold has been found in a few other places as well. And still being found.
