I recently purchased a Tiger Shark and think I might not be ground balancing it properly
I live in Vero Beach, FL so i do my hunting on the salt water beaches and when i begin
to ground balance it i start in salt mode, All metal, and Disc. at 0. What I gather from my manual
is that the threshold is to stay constant as you go downward. What I'm getting is nice threshold hum
to silence to the same threshold hum as i go downward 8" or so....is this the proper way it should sound?

I also seem to get about 2 to 4 inches deep in both wet and dry sand.
Is there anyway i could as deep as 6 to 10 inches?

any help is greatly appreciated,
THANKS

If the threshold is dropping, you need to turn the threshold more positive. Try it by half turn increments until you get a steady hum.

Ditto, but I would take it out of Saltwater mode and have it in Fast mode to GB it. It is not always possibe to get it 100 even but a tone that is slightly higher as you near the sand is better than going silent.

Good Luck,
Sandman

I will try the half click positive until i get as close to an even threshold i as can

Sandman, I was looking on the front of the tiger shark and noticed mine has
Off / Normal Mode / Salt Mode.
Did you mean to try it in Normal / All Metal Fast instead of Salt / All Metal Fast at
the beach?
THANKS

Crap, I meant to say ground balance more positive, not threshold. You want all metal fast. You can do it in all metal slow, but it takes longer for it to retune.
