groundskeeper at our high school wants to talk ?

i was mding at our local school friday [school is out for summer] and one of the groundskeeper called me over and i was concerned about what he might want. he said i see you out here quite a lot and i said yeah and he ask if i was finding anything and i said some coins.he said that they were having a big meet this weekend and they had to stripe the football field and they had been looking for the corner markers for over 2 hours and unless they found them they couldnt start marking the field and time was getting short.he ask if i mind coming over and see if i could locate them [rebar driven under the ground] , i said sure glad to help and we located a 4 of them in less than 15 minutes .he said thanks and o by the way a man reported a gold ring lost under the bleachers about 2 week ago and didnt think he found it . sweet suprdave

Well that worked out well !
You might find a Gold ring next .
It's good that he came to you to help find the markers . Now you have a plus in his mind and you should
get more info on lost items.

Yep it's not always bad news, give people a chance. Some people are just curious, some people want to help you out. The rest want you in jail. Chances are it's best to hear them out.

I have over the years found base placement for a local rec field, a local girl's softball field, and the High School football field lines. They get me in the approx area and it is easy after that even tho they were off by about 20 feet at the football field. Not surprisingly, I don't get hassled at any of those areas. They know where I live in case help is needed again. Let the local press know whenever possible. Positive print or video opens other possibilities. Just good PR for all concerned. We get enough bad press already.

Some time back, the local school called me and wanted me to locate some underground tank lids and falow a pipe to see where it went. Took me 15 minutes, and thay paid me $50 !
