Well I got a hit on one spot today that produced four wheaties in one small area. All from the '20's. Also found a wheatie tree there because there was a freshly fallen '44 on top of the dirt. Found a bullet hotspot also. Loads of fired lead which is a good indicator that has been lightly hunted in that area.

Other than that I found a couple okay coins and while emptying the sack at home realized I had a small waterbury button in there too.

Dunno John, guessing the area was hunting/shooting ground before and after it was occupied due to bullet volume. Mayo got a mass of super-impacted bullets that looked like those clumps you find in some target range backdrops. Got a couple moderately large cals myself so it might be somewhere back around turn of the last century.
