Surf lane land line tells us that Bia has a nice gold strike in the northern zone just past the border line.
U will see a pic of this fine ticket as well, we did not see them in the lane nor did we see Syfta or his wife Chris.

Max, I am now living in Michigan with son. I won't be able to hit the coast this year and that is why I enjoy your pictures so much. I am home sick for the surf. I can always drive to K-Mart parking lot to listen to seagulls again. I used to travel up an down the coast and did a little hunting near Galviston, TX. too.
Max , I have a question for you, I am still learning my GT and was wondering where you set your threshold at, is it were you can here a slight hum or do you adjust it like a squelch on a CB and adjust it were the hum just goes silent? if you wouldn't mind sharing could you tell me the standard setting on all buttons and switches you use when working a beach?

I don't know where Max sets his GT, but I set my threshold at where I can just hear it. This way a signal may cause it to raise in volume or null out or go silent. If I set mine just below, I can't tell when it nulls out and a deep signal might not have enough "umph" to raise it for me to hear over the sounds around me.
thanks sand man, I never was sure about that threshold setting, that does make a lot of sense after reading a lot of post and you saying that... Thanks again!!! now if I could get max to tell me his GT set-up then I might get a little closer to maybe finding some gold instead of just coins and pull tabs, not really , I would like to see what he uses to see how for off I am, I am still learning......
