just got a box of cents.... string rolled 25 dollar box... 13 CANADIAN ENDERS. .. most i've ever had. how many do you think i'll find?

If you mean how many Canadian cents total - I'll guess 112.

Btw, I found my oldest George VI cent this week - a '44. And I also found a bright red '40 AU wheat cent just this morning.

I've got 2 boxes of cents and 2 boxes of nickels to search this weekend myself and I figured I'd post my results sometime tomorrow. So far out of 4 cent rolls I've found 2 wheats and out of 4 nickel rolls I've found a '43P and a "40S so I hope my good luck with these boxes continues.

heres the update. not as many as i thought but there were147 canadian cents in the box...

That's a lot of Canadian cents. I like the Canadian cents as long as they are copper - esp the pre - '80 dates.

So how many of those were copper cents and what were some of the oldest dates? I just found a '47 George VI myself earlier today in a cent box which is the 2nd oldest Canadian cent I've ever found (earlier this week I found a '44 George VI).

You're complaining about that? EVERY single box of pennies I get here in Canada I find about that many american cents. I have managed to fill some folders of american cents from all the americans I find.

do you find much older american cents? and is the variety of finds wider or more broad like strictly american and canadian cents?

I will usually find 3 or 4 wheats in a penny box. Occasionally a british new penny or a bermuda star fish or just some bizarre coin like from the middle east, I once found a south african coin.
