The background grass and dirt are messing with my eyes. Any chance for more photo's with a different background? Might help.

Looks like a muzzleloader sideplate, or maybe an old shotgun receiver. Hard to tell with the background clutter as mentioned. Also cleaning it up some might help to bring out some features that might help with identification.

It's a model 62 winchester pump .22...used a lot in carnival arcades back in the .40's...the screw going thru the frame is the giveaway..it had a hammer and later models were hammerless..

thanks timbercrack. here is what looks to be a 22 a 22 cal. i have put this through electrolysis and cleaned up half way decent. I know its not that old be i have looked and still cannot find whick tupe it is..and thanks again for the help

the other rifle you have is a stevens single shot lever action..
