Yeah, my Pop was the same way. He would surely answer any asked questions but he never really volunteered to go through any of the memories again. When we asked, he was brutally honest about the things he saw.

take the butt-plate off and look for a small hollowed-out area that it covered. Some soldiers hid stuff this way.
