Detector(s) used
Minelab EXII.
Not todays find but I found this one on the 15th of this month. I was hunting the wooded area of a large farm I have permission to detect within 100 yards of a cellar hole. I had already put 4 Coppers and a Indian in my pouch when on my way out just as it was getting to dark to see I got a solid hit with the ETrac at about 5". Using only the light from my Propointer I came up with what I thought was just another big Dandy Button and told my buddy what it was but of the rite size and put it in my front pocket. Of course it was incrusted with dirt so when I got home I gave it a quick Peroxide bath then put it aside while I made dinner then sat and watched a movie. After the movie I remembered the button, I took a toothpick and gently started to pick away at it and soon seen the star, I knew rite then I had my 1st Eagle and Star and 3rd GW. It was also my First real Detecting hunt in almost 5months and the first hunt of 2014. It was a awesome start to a new season of detecting.

Well done on a rare bird

Great find! Still on my list although it seems everyone else is finding them :dontknow:. Looks like you have a nice late 18th/early 19th century site on your hands.

Love the button! I am at two buttons myself and looking for number three. What are the coppers?
