Just a guess but 18k and the Capital "B" is early 18oo's, Sheffield Hallmarks..1805 "B"
Quick search turned up this on the OO with the dot, and describes your ring as the same. Can you post a picture of the ring itself?

I have an antique gold wedding ring and am wondering what the hallmark can tell me. The band is marked 18 (either B or R) then two zeros or O's, below the 00 is a bar, between the O's there is a dot. These markings are all in a rectangular shape similar to: <__>

Antique Gold Wedding Rings

Maureen thank you for your question. The reason it hasn't been answered before now is because there are too many uncertainties in your ID description - could you please attach a photo of the mark (as close-up as possible) inside the antique wedding ring in a follow-up submission. Please make sure you type "Gold Band 1880-1885" in the subject heading so that we can assign the photo to your post here.
What I can tell you is that your antique wedding ring is marked 18 carat gold. In England BEFORE 1854 "gold" meant HIGH carat gold - 18 karat or better. Not surprisingly, antique wedding rings before 1854 were usually 18 carat gold in Britain, or even higher carat gold.
Thanks again for writing in...
