Hallo from Germany!

Hello all. I am civilian in Germany near Ramstein in the Rhineland-Phalz area. I am new to MDing and am nearing my decision to purchase the perfect detector. I have settled on a Garrett 250 ace (unless anyone objects). I have a budget of <$300, I plan on hunting a few times a month, mostly relics (WWI and WWII) but hope to find some cool Roman or Celtic stuff along the way. I would be very interested if anyone has advice on good places to hunt near here and how to determine what is private and what is public land, so I don't break any laws or offend land owners. I have limited experience and would also like to hook up with a club or individuals for some hunting and to learn the craft. I have a friend that is also interested. With borrowed MDs, We found some small stuff in France over Memorial Day and we both are hooked. Thanks for any and all help and comments!
