I searched a LOT of coins during the last two days. I bought $300.00 in halves that a bank ordered and I found one 1964. Not great results by any means but I'll take it. ;D Then I searched another $100.00 in halves and found nothing.

I bought 3 sealed boxes of nickels and I found some nice surprises. Again, I found 2 1944P(silver) war nickels, must be a popular year to find! One very dark, dirty Buffalo nickel, it may have been dug out of the ground. A Republic of Somalia Food Security FAO nickel, and a 1995 Erie 1P. Other nickels:

1939-4 1940-2 1941-4 1941S-1 1942-1 1946-3 1946D-1 1947-1

1947S-1 1948-3 1948D-1 1948S-1 1949-1 1952-2 1953-3 1954D-8

1955D-4 1956-1 1956D-3 1957D-5 1958-1 1958D-6

Searched $40.00 in pennies and found these wheaties:

1927-1 1941-2 1942-1 1944-1 1946-2 1949-1 1950-1 1953D-1

1955-1 1955D-1 1956-1 1956D-1 1957D-1

I also picked up a total of .90 cents from coins on the ground and Coinstar: 1 quarter, 5 dimes, 2 nickels. 5 pennies. Three of the dimes were Canadian and left on shelf/ledge of the Coinstar machine.

The spare change is always in the "reject" area of the coin counters I use. They also let me take all the foriegn I want. It sticks to the magnets on the infeed.

I was returning halves to the counting machine one day and there were two IKES stuck in the machine. I was given them. The machines don't recognise IKES.

I'll take it where ever I can get it

Nice finds! One 90% half out of $300 isn't bad...I was doing $500 in dimes all the time and getting 1-6 silver...One 90% half must weigh more than 6 silver dimes...I just went through $240 in halves and got 1 1964 and 2 1968....HH

Now that is one dirty buffalo! Too bad you can't read the date since it looks mintmarked. So in one batch you got coins from three different continents; North America, Europe and Africa. And silver to boot! A good all around haul, WTG!

Pennyworth that thing you called a Erie 1p is a coin from Ireland. Nice finds and HH
