Cool old coin, where was it found?

Can't make out what's pictured on the obverse of the coin :dontknow: Is it an eagle? Trajan?

Good luck, never wise to go on pictures of the individual, you at least need a few letters, best guess is only that!

I agree it does looks Roman & lady like.

PS. this is a minor point & is me being picky again, but Roman Coins are generally not referred to as 'Hammered' although technically after casting they were indeed hammered. Hammered are generally Medieval.

Interesting, but I went on the reverse side turreted headgear and the similarity of what (erroneously) appears like an eagle's wing, also on the reverse side of the contributor's pic.

Proberbly is Roman, and it does look like a Eagle on the reverse...but like Crusader said, without any legend visible, we proberbly won't get the true ID :'(
