Hammered Coin I found

While out searching with my friend I found this hammered coin. It's in pretty good condition and would like to know it's exact date. Was pretty happy when I found it

Edward I Penny, by the looks of it! Not sure how to get the year off of it though.

Yes it does seem like an Edward I. The coins were made 1272-1307.

Nyargc, my mother was born and raised in Falkirk, I visited there as a youngster and she showed me a park where she said a great battle took place (battle of Falkirk?)....which was directly across from where she grew up...if that's the case, I'd love to detect that!
