Well been grounded all week. A combination of snow and a bad cold have made detecting a no no . Some one asked for a picture of my recent hammered coin finds. So here it is, with the right sites and effort this is what's possible. The other picture, I posted several years ago, the remains of my hammered coin collection. I sell all of the better ones. Would though need a bigger table to do an up to date shot. p.s try not to drool

The original photo took ages to set up. And even longer to put the coins back into plastic bags. Whilst taking the small photo tonight, I managed to drop a tiny coin on to the kitchen floor. Thought I had lost it, had to remove the plinth from the bottom of the kitchen units to retrieve it. (Mrs robfinds, non too happy)

Yes i know exactly what the site was Westfront, can't say though, don't want to give it away. Do you remember the shark pit guy who used to post ?. Best to learn from others mistakes.
