It has been way too long since I have had a chance to hunt a good silver site. Today was my day. I worked for the permission all winter, and the weather finally broke. My first hole had 2 mercs in it. I knew it would be a fun hunt. Lostlake showed up, and got a few of them on video. He will probably post the video. I ended up with 6 silver dimes, and Lostlake got 2. In his defense, I had 4 before he showed up. The coins were running mostly deep around 8", but a few good ones showed up shallow.
Glad I was able to remember how fun it is to dig a bunch of silver coins in a hunt. You can bet there will be many more pulled from this site.

Jon Dickinson

Thanks for all the replies. The site is a private club that dates to around 1900. It sits right by a stream/river, and the ground is very sandy, and prone to flooding. I am afraid that the really old stuff may be too deep to find. I had to work really hard for the permission, and it is a big property.
TXpath- the pictures in the avatar are called "birdstones". They were made by prehistoric cultures in the Great Lakes region around 4000 years ago. They are a very rare artifact type. All the ones in the picture were just published in a well known journal called Prehistoric American.
I hope all you guys can have those 6 silver days. Just don't get too many more than that or I will be the jealous one!
