Hanna has opened the gold mine!! (warning - LOTS of big pictures)

Just went down to check out conditions, and here is my report. Virginia Beach is awaiting plunder! As much as I want to hang onto these so I can be all alone out there, I know I should share them. These pictures are from the south end of the Oceanfront. I was doing great until I was sandblasted, rainblasted, and a knee deep wave nearly knocked me over. And thanks to the little wife for taking all the photos!

WOW! I'd kill for those beach conditions!!! Man would I ever like to hunt that beach right now. Get out there as soon as it is safe and get all the treasure you can!!!!!!! And then report back so I can drool over your finds.

Wow, I was just there yesterday and this is what the beach looked like...

There is alot washed away, but not as much as I was hoping....

I thought of going out there today, but I will wait till tomorrow...gonna' head up to the ocean front. Might stop at Croatan too... not sure where I will hit first!

Just returned from a 6 hour hunt around low tide. Im afraid the cut I saw was the only big one on the beach. The rest was no cut to 1 foot high at best. Saw at least 15 other folks out with detectors. Talked to most of them, and the concensus was that not enough moved, and there is little to be found. Tis a shame too, I had hoped the entire beach looked as I saw it this morning, but no dice .
