Saturday, 5/29/2010, my brother Paul came over from Indiana to Ohio and we detected the beach and picnic areas at East Fork Lake. I was able to try out my new sand scoop, B-D gift from wife, but no interesting finds there and it was very hot and humid, so we migrated to the picnic areas with tree shade and started finding clad pennies, copper pennies and Rosie dimes . I told Paul that was the best B-D gift he could have given me.......and he insisted on buying me lunch on top of that !
The following day my three sons and related family came to my house for a B-D party my wife had arranged. Aside from all the delicious food and deserts, I received Metal Detecting magazines and books as gifts ! WOW ! I thought I couldn't be happier and then two of my grandsons, ages 15 and 17, said they would like for me to take them metal detecting ! (I've been trying to get them interested in the hobby for the last 3-4 years......it's tuff to compete against computer games and baseball.
)
