I went out for two hours after getting off early from work. 4th signal out pops a William 3rd copper! It's my second one in a year!!! WOW! That coin has witnessed 320 New Years celebrations!!!

Right next to the hole was a holed copper and a salt glazed marble. I thought I stumbled upon a colonial marble game!

I was stoked ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1451615441.142951.webp

I later found out it's a Bennington marble c. 1850- so I guess it wasn't a home run:(

Now that is incredible !! What a way to start the year! KW is really cool! Congrats and keep it coming for 2016

Thanks DD. It was actually the last hunt of 2015. I did my first hunt for 2016, about 2hrs, and got skunked. Just a fat Indian and an Ox shoe:(

That coin is freaking sweet! I think I found a William III but it's worn slick. Yours has real nice details. I like the marble the most of all tho, I've never seen one like it! Congrats on a great start!

Nice finish to the year, old copper, and a very cool marble which is a big bonus coming out of a hole. All the best for the 2016 season Scrappy.

Thanks Pepp. I'm still messing with my wife by telling her a marble still comes up as a whisper on the detector. Lol

Nice early one!...one on my list..congrats

Thx for looking. I was reading about the minting of William 3rd half penny coinage and read it was contracted out. Naturally in this case, the copper content dropped, and many were largely debased with tin and pot metal. Thus, many look like dog crap now;)
