As the "Yanks" were coming up from Petersbureg, Va. CSA Prez. Jeff Davis was in church in Richmond, Va. He was handed an OFFICAL memo from CSA Gen. Robert E. Lee suggesting that ALL financial "assets" be moved to Lynchburg, Va. & points WEST... SO! "The move" began; Lynchburg, became the LAST state capital of VIRGINIA (April 7-10, 1865). MOVING day was April 6th, with the "Treasure Train" meeting up with the "Beale Treasure" Train near Farmville, Va. BTT went on to Lynchburg, Va. while the MAIN "Treasure Train" went on SOUTH to Danville, Va. The "Yanks" were heading to L'burg when Gen. Lee intercepted them at Appomattox, Va. on the 7th and Lee SURRENDERED; giving Lynchburg "folks" TWO DAYS to send the Beale Treasure/CSA Treasury for WESTERN portion of Virginia up to VMI/Lexington. TWO "missing" Treasures in ONE... BEALE TREASURE & CSA TREASURY!

Once the decision was made to MOVE IT... CSA Gen. Robert E. Lee moved HIS "Troops" to the hill (woody area) North of Appomattox COURTHOUSE Village (now FED-land), waiting for "Yank" Gen. Grant to get to ACH, to stop him from going on to LYNCHBURG, Va. Once the battle was over, & Gen. Lee surrendered, Rebel "assets" in L'burg, Va. was "disposed" of... "Yanks" NEVER Found "it".

The Official Memo that was handed to President Jefferson Davis from Robert E. Lee stated that he recommended the evacuation of Richmond that his lines could not hold. The message about moving the stores from Richmond was made in mid-February in a meeting President Jefferson Davis had with General Robert E. Lee in Richmond.

CSA Treasurer George Trenholm did not have access to the treasure to steal any of it. He made a fortune during the war running his blockade runners under the British Flag. Out of all his ships delivered about all the supplies and weaponry for the South during the war. He accepted 1 and 1/2 percent for the Fraser & Trenholm Shipping Company. With supplies and weapons in the hundreds of millions of dollars, Trenholm and his company with over 60 ships made a fortune. At Fort Mill, S.C. I do believe Trenholm resigned and stayed behind with the assets of the CSA Treasury and eventually took it to Abbeville, S.C. where it was hidden and may still be on location.

I know of a man that recovered a pot of CSA Gold and went into business in Alabama has within the past 15 years purchased the property where the CSA Gold was buried. I have tried unsuccessfully to recover this deposit of gold over the years even before this family purchased the property that consisted of about ten different properties. The land had been divided and sold off since the Civil War but this family purchased every single acre of the land of the original property during the Civil War. I have all the deeds and records but I had to go to two different counties to obtain the needed documents. I do not know if this family that purchased the properties has found the treasure yet or not. I do know they spent over one half a million dollars for the property alone.

What ya have to remember is, that using mediums was a TREND in that "time period"... AND!
Even Prez Abe Lincoln's wife used a medium during the CONFEDERATE WAR, after their son died. Check it OUT!

ANOTHER name of importance is Maj. Ferdinand C. Hutter, (CSA PAY-MASTER for Virginia troops); continued HIS interest in CSA $$$$$$$$$$$, AFTER "the surrender" & worked for City of Lynchburg Internal Revenue Dept. as CHIEF CLERK under CSA Capt. J.H. Rives of Rives' Artillery (Amherst County, Va.). F.C. H. would know of "sudden wealth" in the area, and was PROBABLY watchful of "Richmond Stores", the WESTERN portion of the CSA Treasury "marked" for VMI & Lexington, Va. (1865-1885). He died of a massive heart attack on Feb. 21, 1885. "He was 53".

Continuing on with the Hazlewood/Hart Cipher... the "Players" in this drama were MAINLY CSA REBELS like BOTH Hutter Bros, Gen. "old" Jube Early (who MAY have been KGC, too), Gen. TT Munford (started his "Division" at today's Miller Park in L'burg, Va. & had a farm in Bedford County, near-by on Coffee Road), MANY others... MORE, later!

R & I indicate it MAY well be ANOTHER "cover-story" for the CSA Treasury. Newton Hazlewood, who was a 1st Lt. (REB) in the CONFEDERATE WAR gave Clayton Hart sheets of papers with FIGURES on 'em alluding to a treasure near his home (Peaks of Otter "area"?), wanting copies in DUPLICATES. Gen. TT Munford (CSA) had a farm in Boonesboro, Va. "area" near NO BUSINESS Mountain, a ridge over from Fleming Mountain (aka JACKSON Mountain); Lee/Jackson Highway (Rt. 501 N) & James River are north of NBM... AND! Thomas Jefferson used to own ALL that land! SO!

Well NHH was the man that got Clayton and George Hart interested in the search for the Beale Treasure in the 1890's. No records of anyone else searching for the treasure before that time. There were a couple of newspaper ads about the story but there is no mention of anyone in particular searching until Clayton Hart got a copy of the cipher codes from NHH
