:icon_thumright: Finally the weather held long enough for the Barley to dry off, & they started Harvesting - 2 weeks late!
They are not our priority fields for this year but it does improve our options.
Cru'dad spent a little over 3 hours yesterday scouting 2 fields, his feeble effort:tongue3:, picture no.1, made me try elsewhere today.
I was on my own for 4 hours on what we used to call our No.1 Fav Field. As we have hammered it for 12 years or more, I wasn't expecting a great deal but I made a better start to the season than Dad:laughing7:

5 Scrappy Roman Coins
Broken Medieval Lead Seal (with the start of the seal owners name - STEPHEN)
Mystery piece with holes in it:icon_scratch:
18th C Pewter Military Button (type I need)8-)
Another hammered Halfgroat of Lizzy 1590-92:headbang:

What nice finds. We hardly, if ever, see things this old in the States or I should say I hardly see them. Really, really nice finds! :icon_thumleft:

This seal with name is cool! And a hammered again. There are only a couple hunts this year without silver for you.... You are a silver magnet...

We seem to be ahead of the hammered curve, but the Roman Count is way off our usual. Although we have some aces up our sleaves for later.
