hat badge? or something

hello,

i found this yesterday. Its heavy and about the size of a half dollar. It appers to be missing some sort of pin. all though it would be heavy for a shirt which makes me think its for a hat. Plus for some reason it looks to be like a airline logo, like it would be on a pilots hat. if anyone knows what this logo is i would be happy to know.

I don't know Dave, that ones a stumper for me, it looks like 1930's or so, and it is a pin or badge. I'm sure you tried the usual google searches like I did, and I couldn't come up with anything but you are on the right site to get an answer, some of these guys are incredible.
