Hat pin maybe

Found this in a local park today. At first i thought it was a pin until i realized the back has a bolt mounted on it. Maybe it went on a hat ? Also would like to find out the age. Thanks in advance for the help.

Pre WW2 post and screw collar disc. Stopped being used mid war or until stocks ran out. Current brass is clutch back.

it may also be Vietnam era. they still had the screw on backs in that time
