What are the measurements of the tool?I found this in a creek laying amongst pebbles and stones. It is made of stone and shaped oddly. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have on what it may be. Thanks!
It's 7.5 inches long. What are the measurements of the tool?
It could be a hide (leather) punch for making tents/clothes.
There were american indians living in the area where this was found. I kind of was thinking it was possibly an indian artifact from centuries ago but couldn't figure what it would be used for.It could be a hide (leather) punch for making tents/clothes.

Local College, University, Museum? Have someone look at it!There were american indians living in the area where this was found. I kind of was thinking it was possibly an indian artifact from centuries ago but couldn't figure what it would be used for.
It's an oddly shaped, water worn rock....unique, but made from centuries
of laying in that creek bed with water and other stuff flowing over it.
JMHO...![]()

Agreed!Endless odd shaped rocks in the wild. Endless.
On first seeing it I thought it resembled a lawnmower blade. ( guess who has to clean up lawnmower 😞) So, just a thought 🤔... Maybe a cutting or grinding stone🤷🏻I found this in a creek laying amongst pebbles and stones. It is made of stone and shaped oddly. I would appreciate any suggestions you may have on what it may be.
