my dad found this in michigan about 45 years ago 2 feet down while digging a fence post.... Any help at all would be great... It apears that it is gold in color judging by a small scratch on the back side... It is also roughly the size of a quarter

That's it, other than its a variant with K-EV in field instead of K-IV.

Looks real enough, not that valuable, but in great condition
