Didn't think I had to spell it out, wind speed, and wave height, meaning calm water no waves this week, which in turn means great hunting in the water.....

Then again do they have beaches in Ohio LOL

those are wave heights and time between swells, usually from some NOA weather bouy in the Gulf of Mexico (GOM, for you landlocked guys). The bouys also give temperature of air and water, wind speed and direction. I understand that some of the bouys are gonna be pulled out because we don't have the dinero to keep them maintained. If they aren't pulled, they'll be allowed to sit there with no one gathering information. Personally, just me myself and I, would rather pay a bit more in taxes to keep things like this going. Oh well.

...We sure do up along lake Erie but we never worry about that stuff we do not have low or high tides as big as the Great Lakes are we have no tides and the water is always pretty cold......................

Bill that surf report is more wrough than wright .I live 2 miles from the beach and when I read the surf report the gulf is differnt then what the report say most of the time. Mother nature has the fun of making man look dumb.

It is always subject to local weather changes, but over all I have found the surf forecast to be very accurate off of Magicseaweed.com..........

THats Great ,, But all that calm dosn't do us a lot of good when Targets are all to deep to detect .. still sanded in here ,,,, went this morning NO Targets to be had Not even a pull tab. I was getting hit by 7 foot swells ,,,, big mama's . lost my favorite hat ...... Keep posting though Bill Thats Great Information , Thanks bill ,,, Guzz

I run into that problem, calm sea and deep targets or rough sea and uncovered targets hard to get to without being thrashed.

I think I would be out there hunting anyway...you never never know and someone could of just lost it!

yea it would be great if conditions were perfect all the time ,,, Water Like Glass and shallow targets . Not the case here lately .... Were just really sanded in bad here .. Need a nice front to come through and move some sand around ,,,guzz1

surf really kicking up here in the gulf of NWF from Dolly. Wild how even hundreds of miles away how we are feeling and seeing some of it's effects. Hows the surf that way?
