Im plaining a trip to Hawaii and was wondering the metal detecting laws there.I only wont to do the beach and shallow water.Is that legal there??

Seems like all public beaches are open for detecting, private land you need owners permission.State Parks are off limits
Antiquities Law says; you must turn over anything that is Native
That's the way I read it, gonna check when we're there to be safe.
Hate to screw up a vacation because of a Park Ranger getting too excited because I found a sea shell with Captain Cook's autograph in it. (smile)
