Haynes Americas First car Item

Haynes America's First car Item

I was hunting around my wife's parents property. There was an old house there that is now torn down. I found this medal (or whatever you would call it) in front of the old garage. It is blank on the back, and is copper or brass I would say. They made this car between like 1912 and 1920.. Im in the process of contacting a museum in Elwood Haynes' home town to see if they can help me figure out what this is and if they have any interest in me loaning it to them for any display...... or I would sell it to them

Happy Huntin'

Cool find. It's got me feeling nostalgic. I grew up in Kokomo.

Re: Haynes America's First car Item

... wow... I just spoke to a woman yesterday who lives in Kokomo. I've never been there, but I can't imagine that it's a huge metropolis - and to have it show up again here - twice - .... Cue the Twilight Zone's theme song!
