I have stock headphones for the ATPro, and They are fine. Question; I do not plan on diving underwater, do the GreyGhost headphones offer any advantage, over the stock ones, if you just use them on dry land

I am going to go the wireless route, being cordless IMO will have the biggest benefit of any corded phones. Going to give the TDK's a shot that I read positive reviews about from another thread.

The Gray Ghost, Black Widow, and Sun Ray Pro Gold headphones have higher OHM ratings than the stock headphones. The Gray Ghost Amphibians are well-liked over the stock water headphones, but they aren't the same as the land headphones from Detector Pro and Sun Ray. With the exception of the Gray Ghost Amphibians, all the other land headphones need a Garrett headphone adapter.

If you want to hear the "deep whisper targets", an upgrade will help you.

As with most everything you buy, the more expensive the better quality. The stock phones are cheap but work pretty well for the money. An upgrade to a high quality headphone will definitely make a difference on the whisper quiet signals and tone quality all around. As long as you hunt in pro mode you will benefit, it you hunt in standard mode a bong is a bong.

Thanks Rob, I always use Pro mode, just want to get the most out of this detector, and all the coils I have for it. Fighting the up grade bug, and I know I don't need to up grade
