I sometimes spend the winter months try to keep busy with little home projects.
Below is one of them. I took a pair of Koss QZ 99's and worked them over to make them
better! I like the comfort of the QZ-99's! First off I basically gutted them and started over. First thing
was to install a Quality Military Microphone cord that will stretch
to over 7', added a Nice strain relief for the cord and to top it off I installed a Quality Neutrik Right angle 1/4 trs gold plated plug, these are as good as it gets!
Next I removed the small speakers that couldn't move enough air to satisfy a detectorist needs
and Installed some very efficient 54-mm mylar speakers for a fuller sound.
I also removed the volume pot and installed a Mono/stereo switch so the Koss's would be compatible
with most detectors. Selling for what I have in them to fund some more little projects.
I bought the QZ'ss for $29.00 add another $23 for the cord and Neutrik connector $3 for the switch and
$14 for the two speakers.
Will sell for $65.00 shipped
I also have a pair of my Custom Built Headphones below. (the Yellow ones) for $65.00 shipped as well,They come with a removable
Cord and all Neutrik connectors. They are Nice and comfortable and will work ggreat with the Garrett AT series and Minelab FBS units
as I have tested them with both.
