Heart Breaker

Ok I found this last yr and have never found the other half. At the base there is maybe a flute. Not a large one but maybe somebody could let me know if I should really be looking hard for the other half. Cant get to the spot yet maybe in the summer. Might just be from a reduction flake removed. I am not sure.

I'm not really sure. The lithic and it's color really put you at a disadvantage. I'm leaning toward it not being a flute, but don't take my word.

Yeah its a type of quartzite I do believe, it feels grainy but yet smooth. I have never found any in this style but it is a artifact of some kind.

it looks kinda deep,but looks like it would be hard to work,i keep all brokes then go thru them when i get board or know i have the other half.

Rock you are looking at it backwards!!.... pretty sure what you have there is the top half to a point. Looks like a impact fracture took out the tip and the piece might have been killed anciently.............................GTP

Dang if it is a point it would of been a big one. The water is just too cold to swim to the spot rite now. Ill have to wait till summer. I thought it was a knife of some kind. Also my poor little dog in my avatar is 14 human yrs and sick. Hope he makes it to be 15.

Wow you too.....Man this must be bad week with pets. My cat of 7 yrs nearly died on us this week. Spent the good part of the week at the vet hospital. Had a urinary track blockage and he only let us know when he could not take no more. He is still recouping. We got him back on Thursday. He was freaked out he has never seen the outside except through a window and never saw those people before. My girl was devastated....We ended up spending over $1400 to get him better but he is our son we love him as such. So i know how you feel and what it is like.............................GTP(Chris)

Rock and GTP. I'm sorry to hear about your pets. I love animals. I have a cat that is 14 years old. Wizzelpuss is his name. He is still frisky but I still think about his age. My German Wirehair, Birdy is getting some age on her also. For any one looking a best friend, a German Wirehair is the absolute best dog. My prayers go out to you both.

Hope your dog makes it to be 15.. I have my dog buddy is his name and my wife always tells me he's going to live forever because he is getting old and losing him would really be hard on me and she knows that... Hope your dog lives forever too..

Not a problem... When Buddy does'nt feel good or is having a bad day I take him for a ride in my truck that seems to help him perk up... Don't know if your dog likes to go for rides but it's worth a try....

Thats a good idea I know mine loves them. He likes to hang his head out of the window. One time he almost fell out I grabbed his tail just in time. I got him from a shelter when he was a puppy.

Buddy is a pittbull and was the runt of the litter.. Breeder was going to put him down he said if you want him you can have him thought he had something wrong with him I took him to the vet and it was just a simple ear infection .. So I put him in a budlight box and brought him home.. Has'nt been to far away from my side since

I guess you can see why this thread is a true heart breaker. Not really about the artifact at all. I hope everyones pets get better. My dog is just getting older and so am I.
